Ce laboratoire est une unité mixte de recherche du CNRS et de l'Université Paris-Sud 11 (UMR 8627), située sur le campus de la Faculté des Sciences d'Orsay. Ses thèmes de recherche principaux sont la physique des particules, la cosmologie, la physique statistique et la physique mathématique.

Workshop on Noncommutative Geometry : Topics in Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, 24-26 November 2009, LPT Orsay, Amphi 1.
The purpose of this workshop is to trigger or develop interactions between mathematicians and mathematical physicists having commun interest in noncommutative geometry either in applications in fundamental physics or in mathematical developments inspired by problems of physics.

Postdoc in Particle Physics
The Particle Theory Groups of the Theoretical Physics Laboratory (LPT) announces one 2-year postdoctoral positions starting in Fall 2010. The research subjects of the project cover a broad range of phenomenological topics, including Fundamental Interactions Beyond the Standard Model, Astroparticle physics and Phenomenology at Colliders (LHC, ILC).
